PLANET ROMEO FOUNDATION

Planet Romeo Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the rights and welfare of vulnerable populations globally. Founded in 2009, the foundation works to create a safe and inclusive environment for vulnerable individuals, providing support and resources for their social, economic, and political empowerment. The foundation focuses on advocacy, education, and community development, with programs including leadership training, health services, and cultural events. With a strong online presence, Planet Romeo Foundation connects vulnerable individuals worldwide, fostering a sense of community and promoting human rights for all.

The Mobile Foundation for Health Security and Rehabilitation, supported by the 2023 funding from Planet Romeo, experienced outcomes that deviated from initial expectations. While the project yielded a positive impact of approximately 65%, this fell short of the anticipated results. Initially targeting assistance for 50 vulnerable individuals living with HIV, who faced displacement due to stigma, discrimination, and marginalization, the project ultimately reached only 33 individuals with safe space and shelter support, skill acquisition and empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health service support. This shortfall can be attributed to unforeseen challenges arising from a sudden economic upturn within the country. The resultant inflation led to increased costs, disrupting budget allocations and hindering the organization’s ability to fully meet project demands.
